Deodorization of spaces and goods
Molecules present in the air can be smelled more or less intensely depending on their composition. It is possible to eliminate an odor if you eliminate its source and isolate the objects that have already absorbed it. Deodorization and odor elimination are usually carried out after recovery and reconditioning actions following a fire, a humidity damage or a smoke contamination. Malodorous gases linger within a room, and porous materials like tissues, carpets and leather can gather these molecules and keep the malodorous molecules even over a long period of time. One of the quickest and most efficient ways to purify a room and to eliminate odors from fiber materials is the so-called ozonation process.
Ozonation consists in eliminating the odors and deodorize both the structure and the impregnated objects. To eliminate a foul smell, it is necessary to eliminate its source, and to clean and isolate the objects that absorbed it. Ozone (03) can neutralize the molecules responsible for the odor. Nonetheless, this gas can sometimes have noxious effects on health, and it requires therefore a careful handling. Depending on the volume of the premises and goods to be treated, a defined amount of ozonizers are set to release ozone molecules (03) in the air to oxidize the odor molecules and eliminate odors from air and goods. This treatment must be carried out by trained personnel that can properly calibrate and monitor the devices and supervise the process. Scented fragrances nebulizers can be used to complete the treatment, to neutralize the odors of areas that are particularly difficult to access, or to immediately give a different scent to certain goods.
